Leeds has a lot of museums and galleries. The City Art Gallery and the Henry Moore Institute are both in the city centre and there are galleries across the city that look at its’ industrial heritage, country houses and much more.
Leeds City Museum opens in September 2008. Exhibitions will include “Ancient Worlds” – looking at life and death in ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt, and the “Living Planet” Gallery which will explore the variety of life on our planet and in Leeds, examining the environmental issues confronting us today.
