Aims to bring together older and younger people from the community to share experiences, and help increase respect, understanding and tolerance. This can lead to old and young feeling more valued, and to breaking down myths and stereotypes about different groups. Overall the aim of such work is to help bring about stronger communities that are better to live in. A number of local and national organisations work on intergenerational projects. They are often an excellent way for people - old and young - to get involved in their community.
