There are two hospices for adults in Leeds: Wheatfields and St. Gemma’s. Hospices provide palliative care for people with a life threatening illness or an advanced degenerative condition. They also support carers before and after the death of a patient. Palliative care is treatment that relieves symptoms such as pain but does not cure the disease.
All hospice services are free, you can be referred by your GP or consultant.
