We hear the word wellbeing bandied about quite a lot these days, but what exactly does it mean?

The World Health Organisation says that our health and wellbeing is made up of physical, mental and social factors (WHO, 1946). Preventing disease and illness is important - but wellbeing is also about our relationships with others; the opportunities we have for creative and fulfilling pursuits; and our ability to access the help we need, for example in the community.
