Day Centres offer a range of practical, therapeutic and social activities for people over 60. There are some day centres for older people from minority ethnic communities. Specialist day care is also available for people with dementia. 

More people in the UK are in debt than ever before, including people aged 60 and over. For older people, many of whom are retired, this can be an especially difficult and frightening position to be in.  

Dementia is the loss, usually gradual, of mental abilities such as thinking and using memory. There are many different types of dementia, each with their own causes. The most common cause of dementia is Alzheimer’s disease.
